GH3 Thoughts on the new Mogopod? (Monopod and "crane")

Saw this dropped today, what's your take on it in terms of functional stability? Seems a little gimmicky, but I know people have used similar hip based systems in the past, but haven't seen that really catch on all that much.

Primarily intended for the GoPro series cameras. It can replace a number of "homebrew" things I've seen used very effectively. Looks well engineered to me, but I don't know if I'd want to use anything heavier than a GH2 on it, and that with a fairly lightweight lens.

This is for larger cameras as well as smaller, it has a load capacity of 10 pounds so it can easily handle the GH line. The reference to the GoPro in their material was to use it as a boom for a GoPro and with the extra attachment point for an phone or table it would be a good tool for that camera. I have used my GoPro mounted to a mic boom with a kludged thing to hold the phone so this would be a step up from that. I am looking for a new monopod but I decided against the Kamerar as I would prefer a true video monopod over the hip support approach.
