GH4 Thoughts on Sigma 18-35mm Nikon w/ Speedbooster on GH4?

The main issue with the 7-14/4 is filtering it.

Is anyone here using the 7-14 with the 'reversed lens hood-filter holder' trick? I'm just wondering how wide you can get before vignetting with the GH4 4K crops. If you can't get wider than 11 there doesn't seem much point.

Damn thanks for mentioning that! I was about to buy the 7-14mm lens. Now I'm really not sure if I'll grab it if I can't put an ND filter on it.

Anyone know if bumping the aperture up will be sufficient in bright day light? Not really looking for any DOF shots with the 7-14mm but I am concerned with maintaining a 1/50th shutterspeed and crushed highlights.

All the way to 7mm if you use one 100mm filter.

The 7-14 stops down to f/22, which should have you covered 90% of the time. I've shot in bright sunlight with the 14-140mm at f/22 and very rarely overexposed the shot. And if you end up shooting in 30p or 60p with 180 degree shutter, you're for sure covered.

Because diffraction is a ***** on 4/3s at f/22 - I tried it once and I'm never trying it ever again.

Anyone know how much of a difference, if any, there is between the Sigma 18-35mm w/ a speedbooster than the Panasonic 25mm 1.4? Is it just a half stop more? Trying to gauge whether I need it since I currently have the Panasonic.
