Thoughts on match a Canon EOS 7D with an HMC-150?

I've joined a project where one person has been shooting so far everything with a Canon EOS 7D. I shoot with an HMC-150. Any thoughts about shooting a project with these two cameras? Will it be too much of a pain in post to match footage from both cameras?

probably the single biggest issue you will run into with the look of footage from both cameras is the depth of field

if the other person has been shooting with an open iris, it will be hard to match to that of the 1/3" chips on the 150

color wise though id say its very possible to match them

It's the sharpness that will stand out. Canon DSLRs are soft as **** and I don't know about the 150, but the HMC80 is super sharp.

Dynamic range of the 7d will stand out like a sore thumb too.

hmc150 is also quote soft. they should match up well in that regard.

oxband - any way to borrow a CF card from the 7D shooter & put some of his or her footage into a quick edit with footage from your 150 to find out? Shouldn't take to much time & seems like a better way to get an answer.

Please let us know how it turns out.

Good luck,

Bill
