those washers to stop the head from tilting up and down...

If you're talking about the cork or metal 2-1/2" discs that are inside a c-stand head, we sell those as a part at Barbizon. The one from American seems to fit universally and are of a machined aluminum.

Erik, do you know what they are called? I'm looking for the "cork" ones made out of some hard plastiky material to support my LTM 1.2 light.

For grip heads, MSE calls the aluminum disc a "magic gasket." American uses a "fiber washer." Norms calls it a "brake pad."

I have had no problem generally referring to them as follows: brake discs in grip heads, brake pads in stand sections (bonnet housings/brake housings).

Try to get aluminum ones if you can - they last forever. When I emailed Film Tools about aluminum, they had some carbon composite versions, but they hadn't decided to stock them or not. They sold me a couple which work great as well.
