This is what panasonic is considering for the next HVX200

1. Ability to output component and composite at the same time.
2. Metal battery tabs
3. 6 pin FW output
4. SDI output
5. Capacity for 3-4 P2 cards rather than 2
6. Shoulder mount
7. Image flip for both recording and viewing.
8. Better low light capability
9. Four dedicated audio XLR inputs with four level adjustment knobs

Many of these are addressed with the HPX but the price gap is ridiculous. The HVX is $5,000.00. Realistically, the HPX with the lens, VF, cards, tripod plate is around $25,000.00, isn't it? It would be nice if they made a 1/2" chip shoulder mounted HVX, even if it still had a fixed lens for around $10,000.00 to $12,000.00 Of course, I would rather have a detachable lens but the HVX lens is pretty good for a fixed lens.

Something that took AB batteries, had some heft to it. The HPX is my dream camera but I cannot swing it financially. I think Panasonic is leaving some money on the table, most HVX owners are like me, we can afford the HVX but want something with a little more advanced features and can pay for it but we cannot swing the $25,000.00 for the HPX.

I Would love to see 24p on the HVX200e (Pal Country)

the new sony EX is gonna do 24, and 25p, amongst other.

I love my HVX200, and I know alot of people say it doesn't matter, but we feel left out, hie hie hie, not having 24p.

That would be my no. 1 wish. other than that I can't complain for the price vs. functionality of the HVX.

Not specific to the HVX, I would also like to see the P2 cards become 1. cheaper, 2. available ( no one has stock of the 16GB), and 3. higher capacity released sooner.

I mean flash memory has improved, and the p2 card is basically 4 flash cards in a PCMCIA housing running together to meet bandwith requirements, so why wait to make 'em bigger?
