This is the End

You know? I'm baffled at how there isn't a thread for this movie, or there wasn't up until now.

Day one Blu Ray purchase for me, and I think I'm going back for another watch. It's such a fun experience overall, and even better if you're a fan of some of the actors.

It's basically Superbad + Apocalypse + Comedians having fun on camera.

Craig Robinson is pretty damned good here, and now I really want to see him move into drama (If he hasn't already.) He has so many small but brilliant moments during the runtime, one of my favorites being when--

Definitely lost a lot of tears at that moment.

I keep reading the test screening audiences loved it. I like that bunch of guys, though not necessarily every movie theyre in. I am baffled that some folks dont like rogan. I find him ridiculously likeable. Even in questionable or terrible movies.

I've heard nothing but good things. It's supposedly vulgar but hilarious, as should be expected from these guys. Great cameos, too. Here is 22 minutes of BTS b-roll if you're so inclined (some spoilers, if you care about that sort of thing in a movie like this):

I saw this movie the other day and thought it was hilarious. It is indeed quite vulgar, so those that are easily offended by "base" humor will probably not care for this flick so much. Overall, it has a strong "South Park meets Ghostbusters" vibe, IMHO.

For those that have seen it, I wonder if there is some (not so) subtle chastising of Hollywood culture on display. Without getting too spoilery, notice what *doesn't" happen at the party to anyone and what that implies.

Loved it!

I thought this was funny but it got tedious for me in the middle, one joke stretched out for way too long without enough story happening. They could have cut 20 minutes out of it. The funniest bit for me was Franco and McBride arguing over the porno mag.

I'm not even a fan of vulgar comedy, but I really enjoyed this film. It did drag a bit in the middle, but the beginning and end are solid. It's worth seeing just for the final scene.

Really funny comedy and I enjoyed it a lot more than Pineapple Express. Level of vulgarity is relative but I think they toned down their typical potty humor compared to other films this cast has been in, which I think made it more enjoyable. I hate when comedy is forced and constantly using swear words and vulgarity just ruins the comedic timing.
