This camera has a touch screen?? Why?

[FMVorenkamp]

So I'm poking around with my camera, and I discover that it has a touch screen.

...what on earth for?

You can calibrate it, but not much else.

[jetswing]

Hahaha I guess for convenience? What's wrong with having a touch screen?

[FMVorenkamp]

It's cool- it just seems like it only works in the video playback mode for like... Two buttons

[jetswing]

Yup, it's only in the playback mode but you can browse, select, and play back clips using touch screen. I personally never use it.

I don't want to use it, smudges. But sometimes it's a bit quicker.

I really feel like the FS100 was designed with the Epic/Scarlet in mind (which also has a touch screen you attach). I've used mine during playback and that is it. I tend not too as well since it leaves fingerprints.
