This aint your Mama's Haunted House!

as an aside, does anyone know if one of those scooters fat people use at walmart could outrun a zombie?

Max beat me to it, but it does depend on the director. Let's look at the reality, though... (Wait, did I just envoke reality in reference to zombies?!)

These things are (un)dead, and plagued with rigor mortis. They should have such inhibited movement that a Hoveround would be able to outrun them easily. heck... a tortoise should be able to outrun them.

Rigor mortis doesn't last indefinitely. After about 72 hours post-mortem the body is fully flexible again.

Handling bodies in full rigor is an absolute pain in the ass. Amazing how unwieldy a cadaver gets when fully stiffened up.

Of course, they're not exactly a picnic to handle when they've gone all wiggly, either.

I still don't understand how people are getting shot in the face with paintball guns without a TON of risk / injury.
From the FAQ on the website:
"Q: Can I shoot Zombies?
A: Depends on your aim. In the Apocalypse you are lead through by post military Zombie fighters and you do not personally shoot zombies. You can shoot zombies yourself at our Zombie Shoot paintball course separate from the main AZA attraction."

I would guess that the "Zombie Fighters" in the Apocalypse course are using prop weapons, and not paint-ball guns.

The Zombies in the paintball course are undoubtedly wearing protective gear.

I promise I won't testify against you.

I'm not an expert on rigor mortis, but you'd still think deteriation of brain, nerve and muscle tissue would affect motor skills...

Also, slow moving dead are scarier.
