Felipe and Grant, Thank you for summary of key elements to help with quick start in using HMC40. I have begun relying on focus (bar) and exposure (zebra, wave form monitor) aids to help compose shots and will utilize manual white balance (which on HMC40 I read also automatically adjusts black balance during process). Will remember to check diopter since I do take off my glasses when using EVF. Looking forward to making 100 movies where I can experiment more with scenes, looks, frame rates, etc but want to use camera on trip to Honolulu tomorrow so will be pretty conservative when moving away from automatic settings just to avoid mistakes on that trip. Weather in St. Paul , Minnesota has been gray and overcast or bright sun on all our snow which has not presented great scenic shots but does allow experimenting in some challenging lighting conditions.
