Thinking of buying a field monitor...

They sell around 1,400.00 USD or so.

I just picked on up, but have only checked SD (16:9) with it.
It looks good. Don't fret over the specs, I've heard it looks great
with an HD signal. It also takes just about anything you throw it:

525-60i 30/29.97 4:3/16:9 483 Interlaced Composite, Y/C,YPrPb

480P 60/59.94/30/29.97/24/23.97 4:3/16:9 483 Progressive YPrPb

625-50i 25 4:3/16:9 576 Interlaced Composite, Y/C,YPrPb

1280x720P 60/59.94/30/29.97/24/23.97 16:9 720 Progressive YPrPb

1920x1035 60/59.94 4:3/16:9 1035 Interlaced YPrPb

1920x1080 60/59.94/50 4:3/16:9 1080 Interlaced YPrPb

Hi Steve... a couple questions;

1.) How is it outside? Bright enough to use in daylight?

2.) What are/will you using to power it in the field? I've seen a report of someone using this...

I love the look of this monitor, but have not seen one in person. I'm hoping it would be practical for both field and studio focus and color adjustment...

Thanks,

Jim Arthurs

Jim,

I just received the Marshall and have not bought a battery yet.

Yes, the Bescor battery was recommended by holyzoo (Steev).
I am definately buying this battery pack.

I have not been able to check it in daylight.

I can't think of anything out there that competes with this monitor for size and features in its price range.
