Just so you know, that cannot be true.I don't know this for fact, but I've heard that the colors that the DVX produces aren't broadcast legal
I'm not a tech head, but adjusting the Knee, Black, Master Ped, Coring, Gamma, etc... gives me better results in regards to latitude and dynamic range than the comparable controls in the DVX. I can alter both cameras so the footage better matches in post with some color correction, but I can't get the same latitude from the DVX.
Electronic sharpening will start to introduce noise into the video image.
FYI it's the Canon lens that makes it sharper.

Tibby, "Broadcast legal," as I understand it, means "NTSC safe." All camcorders record in RGB color space, and transfer to YIQ (NTSC/PAL) color space in-camera (anyone, am I wrong about this? I'm not totally sure). Thus, all cameras are broadcast legal in a general sense. How so? Maybe I'm wrong but the reds that camera produces are tough on a televison.
ask them if they well sell two at that price since they are buying a plasmaCriddle said:nah im geting it from the store... It completely legitimate... Its normally 2300 but since my parents are buying a plasma they're dropping the xl2 to 2100![]()
