Thinking about selling the HVX200 to buy a GH1 (D90)...

So, the thing is that I bought my HVX like 2 years ago, but I've never got the money to buy a 35mm Adapter. Now that all this DSLR Cameras have been apearing I'm thinking in a replacement for the HVX. Mostly because I don't know if in a few years from now I would be able to sell it...

What dou you think...
Should I sell my HVX now that still worth some money and buy a DSLR??? :(

In my experience with HVX and hpx170, compared with that of the new dslr's, the quality is much greater on the 200/170.. plus the features of slo-mo is much greater importance to me than DOF

I'm a huge HVX/DVX and LEX fan but I bought a 5D to try it out. If the GH1 is near the 5D in image quality I think it kills. I can't believe how clean the image is. There is the extra workflow but it is so worth it. I sold all my HVX/Lex stuff within weeks of getting my 5D. I already use filters (ND/ND grads) to control light with the LEX so I don't find the exposure lock a problem if I control my filters/lighting. As for the deep depth of field I think it beats the HVX fully stopped down and really wide . Just my 2-bits.

a dslr is a still camera.
a video camera is a video camera.
just because the current trend is to give still cameras video functionality - doesnt mean its wise to replace your video camera with a vide-enabled still camera.

quit worrying and get busy using your hvx. by the time DSLR for video becomes widespread or the scarlet becomes readilly available - you could have made back what you paid for the hvx several times over. and if you cant, then you didnt really NEED a "better" camera anyway.
