Thinking about moving to Austin, TX

Do it! I'll feel better if I am not the only one walking away from a great job in a terrible economy.

Not to be a downer but -- walking away from a great job in a terrible economy sounds like a position that should be rethought-out pretty thoroughly...

Oh I have, I'm a planner, been keeping track of the job situation for the past 6 months, actually many more opportunities in my main field than here, so i am not too worried about that part.

Listen, Curl. I know that the job market for transvestite strippers is stronger here than where you are, but chances are you've already built up a clientele there.

Some of my high-rollers have assured me they are willing to travel so I'll have a stable base until I get my name out there.

Cool. You'll also have Ott, Caffesse and Rudd for your Rolodex as well. They aren't high rollers, but their sweaty money spends just as well.

A few more DVXUsers move to Austin and it could start to reach critical mass... you already have Caffesse, Mick, Ott, Rudd, Boggs, and a few more... and I know at least one or two of the flown-in crew members were seriously considering it... :)

Seriously? That many people down the road from me? Might be worth it to start actually doing something again.

So the job hunt is officially underway... the plan is to arrive sometime next month, coordinated between my current employers needs and the needs of a new job (in theory.)

My portfolio site is here http://chriscurl.com/

Have one interview already scheduled next week, I see between 10-20 current positions I can apply for now, definitely a better economy than VA.

Go get'em!

I just saw on the national news tha Austin is in the best shape of all states regarding employment.
Lots of jobs, great arts & music, killed food...and of course, from what Stephen says, there's a large market for transvestite strippers!

Yeah my interview is with the top transvestite stripping firm in the city, they insisted i had a dancing pole available during the videochat.

I only told you I wasn't a high roller because I didn't think you were worth your asking price.
