Thinking about buying fs100. what shoud I know

I'm in PAL-Land and I'm considering buying a firestore to use with my HVX 200 and XPro HD.
Now £1600 is a fair wad of my cash, so I would like to know of any problems up front, also any comments on my choice. My funds are stricly limited, and as I'm not (Yet) doing this for money I can't get tax breaks or see the money coming back from clients.
I know a lot of people swear by P2, BUT, My laptop has ExpressCard rather than PC card, and FS100 is a LOT cheaper per GB. I expect to be shooting a lot on location, away from any power eg covering school field-trips, as well as my own movies.

Any advice much apreciated,

you loose some functionality in terms of choices to record in but its worth it escpecially since the ver 3 update which lets you record in native formats essentially doubling the record time. Some people seem to have problems with it shutting off or not responding while recording but that has never happened to me. Just make sure you secure the 4 pin firewire when you connect it to the HVX, loop it around the hand strap for example.

Now I just have to find £!600 (Say $3000 yeah we get shafted every which way) or else risk an import from USA.
