Tha's saying a lot considering I've only owned it a week!!

I thought it was just on the surface, but I tilted the camera around and sure enough it's inside. baah!!! I'm sad now. :(

it sux to find that, but keep in mind that your image will most likely not be affected. Shoot some footage and look for the speck, you wont see it.

Also, I think there is a way to remove the outermost glass to blow it out, but its probably not worth it as you may do more damage to the lens and it probably voids your warranty.

If you do see it, shoot at wider aperatures, like 5.6 and wider (i.e. more open). That solved it for me.

NO CA$H is right, return for new.

Shooting at wide aperatures is not an answer.

heheh, right now I have a lot of projects to do and I need it. How long is the lens warranty? Is it different from the rest of the unit?

I had the same problem. I sent it to an Auth service in LA and they warrantied it.. There is not way to get in there to clean it out, so they replaced the whole lens assembly.

Can you please take a pic and post?
