The worst acting, filmmaking and special effects appreciation thread

Billy Pilgrim

Stye in my eye
Tonight I watched Session 9 with a friend for the first time, and while the movie was okay, one moment happened that was just so over-the-top and out of place. We had to rewind it a few times, and laughed about it for about fifteen straight minutes.

Naturally, I had to share the video. I rarely create threads or even reply to posts (I mostly lurk) but I thought of devoting a whole thread to all the worst clips of acting, filmmaking a special effects, and why we love it so, so much. So here's some obvious ones to start with:

There's a lot more gold from The Room, but that's my top five. I'll leave it to other people to share more if they like.

Go ahead. Gimme your worst.

13 seconds

worst acting i've ever seen, bar none. the clip below is only the tip of the iceberg. i may have to upload some scenes to youtube to show you guys just how hysterically bad this movie is.

troll 2 gets my vote. Anyone seen the whole film?

Not only have I seen the whole film, but I've seen a 35mm screening of it. And I got a picture with George Hardy (the dad).

It was for a double feature screening of Troll 2 and Best Worst Movie, a recent documentary about Troll 2. It's a wonderful documentary, and George Hardy is the nicest guy ever. Troll 2 is probably my favorite bad movie, and I force all new friends to watch it.

Nic Cage in anything is horrible. Just look at the trailer for his latest flick. I cringe every time it airs.

He's good in Adaptation. But I love Nic Cage exactly because he's ridiculous and off most of the time. As terrible as he may be in The Wicker Man, he's never dull, and totally entertaining.

+Raising Arizona and Kick Ass. My vote does with Trolls 2 because I've seen it, but I definitely have to check out The Room and Birdemic now. Keep it up. This thread is awesome.

Birdemic is one of those rare movies that just happens. The director went out to do a serious movie and now it's so bad that it's good, it has a cult following... You just can't predict things like that. I bet if he went out to do a spoof movie it would of never been received the way it's being received now.

And oh my Good, those clips from "The Room" had me laughing so hard, I have to put that movie on my Netflix queue. Great thread, keep them coming. Here's my contribution.
