The Wedge - Bodyboard Video

Here is from the recent South Swell that hit Southern California in mid June.
Took out my cam and captured some bodyboarders that were rippin at the notorious shore break known as the Wedge.

Used one of the presets from the presets page... but i forgot which one.
I believe it was the Vision 7 or panalook.
No color correction added in the end.

Man, that brought back memories. I grew up in Newport Beach and went to Newport Elementary school. We used to ride our bikes down to the wedge to watch the tourists and 'val's' (kids from the valley) kill themselves at the Wedge. It was a comedy show.

That break is usually in around 4" to 1' of water! I have seen many a guy auger in and piledrive into the sand face first. When I was a kid, NO LOCALS ever bodysurfed the Wedge... ever. We knew better then. Hehehehe! Dunno about now... That was the '60's.
