hey i just recived cs3 last week its super awsome production premuim for 140$
new from an employee at adobe books and grey cards for camera balancing included the whole enchalada!!
while doing my recearch i found that cs4 has a beta release and its desighned for the graphic desighners need to access large ram over 5 gigs of ram and possable the whole 32 gigs of vista !
why is this war becouse there was no mac desighn yet for cs4 devolpment for large ram access,i am not a professional but a digital enthusiast my posting may not be exact or qouted precisly
but cs4 war for desighners is on,ever wanted to desighn billboard size images
maybe a 10,000 by 20,000 with out converting to smart or vector based images?
or just have a lengthy project for theater maybe documentry? or just wanted see if you cuold capture an hour long video in one chunk and edit it on the time line ?
i figure in 18 months there will be a face off of high tech gizmos to capture the market and a whole new mac vs pc in the 2010!! maybe its just a nip at the heels for desighners with high demands or just another threat for mac heads to listen to
just sayin my cafinated peice here !!! are you ready there might be soemthing beutufill in 2010 or more of the same?

it means cs4 cuold make pc the foremost going machine to run adobe products becouse a new desighn that the mac engineers have not yet to test with there desighns due to ram limitations at the time, mac has the least ram to offer the new desighn

I imagine this is the source of this discussion:

http://www.macrumors.com/2008/04/03/adobe-photoshop-cs4-to-be-64-bit-for-windows-32-bit-for-mac/

First off, Nack admits that the 64-bit version of Photoshop will see modest speed increases (8-12%) but the biggest advantage will be for those using massive images (a 3.375 gigapixel image is given as an example). With these massive sizes and with enough RAM (32GB given as example), you can see substantial (10x) improvements.

Personally, I hardly find myself working with images that large (read: never) and I find Photoshop to be zippy enough for 95% of the operations I'm running. It's going to take much more than a hobbyist to take advantage of the 64-bit architecture.

Every sentence possible sounds better with "with a vengeance" at the end of it.

I'm going to the store . . . with a vengeance!

I have to mow the lawn . . . with a vengeance!

My toenails have gotten really long . . . with a vengeance!

Here's a bunny with a pancake on its head . . . with a vengeance!

I still don't have the slightest clue what this thread is about . . . with a vengeance!

This is one of the most entertaining threads I have read in a long time.

Good call Jimerson, I am now adding "With A Vengeance" to everything.
