The Verrazano Boys is the story of five friends: Mike, Eric, Jimmy, Vincent, and Raj. They become best friends despite social cliques, socio-economic status, and popularity. Slowly the boys do everything together. They go to the same parties, they all go to the same baseball games, they join the same atheletic teams, and they all together have one dream. They want to make a movie. However, after they graduate from high school Eric becomes close to a girl (Melanie) much younger than him. He begins to drift away from his friendship with the guys. This is the beginning of the dismemberment of the five friends. In addition, all the boys, except Raj and Mike, go to different colleges. Years go by and none of the guys have spoken to each other. However, at a school reunion the boys come back together. They find that things haven't changed too much. Eric has now gone and married Melanie and the boys all have their seperate jobs. Some have risen to success, but some are still as poor as ever. In the end, the boys realize that as friends they left one thing untouched: the dream to make a movie! This is their story. The Verrazano Boys, mildy inspired by true events.
