The Universal Hot Crazy Matrix on Women

I like the way the guy is dressed for this presentation. If he added horn-rimmed glasses and a pocket protector all would be complete.

That's just amazingly offensive. I know guys just like him. I learned a long time ago to avoid these guys like the plague. He can't teach anything about women because he hasn't yet learned anything about women.

Y'all who are laughing at this -- think about this the next time a women just assumes that you're a sexist jerk. It's because too many of us... are.

I view the whole thing as a comedy routine. If this were a scene from a movie or part of a stand-up comic's routine, you'd be laughing. No need to assume the guy is misogynist; he clearly had some punchlines.

Out of curiosity, are you offended by the video posted here?

A tranny above an 8 hot? I wonder if he developed this theory after visiting a club down in old Soho where the champagne tastes just like Coca Cola.

No, I wouldn't. And few of the women in the room would be either. I've walked out on standup routines like that. And yes, I've been heckled on the way out. Small price to pay.

Treating women like this is wrong. And propagating it is just as wrong. If I sit back and keep my mouth shut, I'm a collaborator like you; that's why I'm speaking out against it, and why I'm disappointed in you for posting it.

Yes, I know you'll get over it. And yes, I know there's a whole bunch of guys out there complaining about my supposed lack of a sense of humor. But if you want a civilized society, you can't sit back and let 53% of the population be denigrated without at least a little push-back.

Judge much?

Make assumptions much?

Must be nice to own the monopoly on intelligence and compassion - or at least, believe that you do.

Wow...really!!?

When you go to standup routines what type of material do you laugh at (or think is funny)? I'm just curious. The way I see it they are basically making fun of themselves or others. Where does one draw the line in denigration? Do you see what I'm asking? We all have different thresholds of pain.

For the comedy challenged, I think part of the point of a comedy bit like this is that the guy himself is no great catch. It's not George Clooney giving the presentation.

Sexist yes. But more importantly is it true?
There are plenty of things that women can (and do) say about men that are also sexist and funny and technically true from a stereotypical viewpoint even if not on an individual level.

I don't think it's wrong for the sexes to poke fun at each other anymore than Dave Chapelle poking fun at different races or Americans poking fun at the French or whatever.
I would rather we live in a world where we can laugh at this stuff than have to walk around on eggshells constantly afraid of offending people. Just so long as we temper that comedy with a knowledge that it is just comedy (even if comedy is often pointing out the ridiculousness of real things) and not meant to be used to limit peoples rights or prejudge them.

That said. I laughed out loud when he mentioned redheads as I've been dating one for six and a half years now. Definitely living in the danger zone. ;) I showed it to her and she laughed.
