The United Steel Workers of Montreal

Any comments? Was the download too big, want a smaller version?

And a short description:

Émile Bertrand, by The United Steel Workers of Montreal, is a sweetly romantic duet sung between a dock worker and a diner waitress as they take turns offering comfort and understanding for the pains they endure through their working days. Inspired by the historic Émile Bertrand restaurant, the video takes a nostalgic look back at working class life during bygone days along Montreal’s Lachine Canal.

We shot with an HVX (1080 24p) about 60% using the Brevis and Canon FD lenses. There are obviously a lot of photographs and the exteriors were mainly done with the bare camera, but most (not all) of the interiors were done with the Brevis. Lots of thanks to everyone who contributed (a lot of volunteers!)

I liked ... alot

Its hits home a bit, Im not too far from the old Bethlehem Steel plant in Bethlehem Pa, and, well, its very sad in a way to drive through there these days.
They are making way for a casino (of all things) and the old plant is coming down in bits and pieces.
Old railroads and dead industrial plants. I sometimes remember that Bruce Springsteen song "My Hometown" when I drive through ol Beth.

Thanks for posting this vid, you all did a good job with it, and the Brevis footage looks great!
