You are right ! and for those special cases, The rig is suplied with an alternative " Ball and String" devices.

I will add a complete accesories list before we are ready to reaceive orders.

Its funny you say that. I worked in a bike shop for a number of years and that is just like the car racks we would sell. I would always get people asking if it messed up the car at all. I know with those racks as long as you were careful, you didnt run into any problems. I did learn tho that using hooks can be a pain in the ass sometimes if they dont fit under the lip of the hatch/truck. That would be the only thing i would worry about with that setup, other wise looks good, and i think i would trust my dvx on that before i would suctioncups.

danny, on first look the rig looks interesting, but one of my first questions was; what are the little round things on the legs made of? are they hard or soft? For the hood mount, the angles of the straps look like the whole rig could have a tendency to vibrate unless there was a whole lot of tension applied to the straps. If there was vibration, then the little things on the legs could be affected if they were hard, transferring the shake to the camera.

It looks like a decent setup, but I would need to see some good demo videos and hear reports from actual users before I would buy one. My primary concern would be vibration, especially on a little bit rougher road, followed by concern over the versatility in terms of mounting. But at the right price, with those questions answered, I would be interested.

i don't know anything about this product but i JUST received my 3 point mount from filmtools, granted i have NOT mounted my dvx on it yet (it is in the shop till friday, blown firewire port)

but this sucker is solid! one BIG vacuum cup (not really a suction cup) and two smaller vacuum cup's

i will primarily use it for IN car stuff and perhaps hood based stuff. anything outside the car it would be easy enough to put something soft around the camera body and put a safety strap on the camera connecting it to the car.

these vacuum cups have a great red line to warn you when the suction is reduced.

i will definitely be making a test right that will be brick shapped and HEAVY and putting that on the side of my jeep with a safety line that will secure it without alleviating the weight load to see how it holds.

but just with the three vacuum cups on the windshield this thing feels like it could hold way more than a dvx even loaded with anamorphic lens etc.

Still no final price.

I am negotiating with few tripod manufacturers for the best
deal on large nomber of units, Hope Manfrotto will give us a good deal.

Anyway, It will be ready in December.
