Here are my two joys - HVX200A with the Redrock gear and my 1996 Roadster Corvette with only 42,000 miles on it.

I have been trying to get my Redrock Matt Box for the past month before I leave for New Zealand and have had no success with Redrock in doing so but Ramzi at EVS was a able to get the Redrock Matt Box to me this week so I could have it for my New Zealand film shoot which take place on Monday 4th of August.

I’m heading to Los Angeles tonight with a full day layover and than off to New Zealand tomorrow night to film 'Night Forest' a tense thriller.

Made it to New Zealand. Start filming tomorrow. Spent the day looking at the locations and meeting the cast and crew. Will be here until September.

Will have to upgrade my Tripod.

I'm in one of those interent cafes in Auckland on Queens Street.

Day one of filming; The Redrock Matt Box works like crap with the HVX! It doesn't line up and most of my shots had refections from the filter.

Day two of filming; decided to remove the Redrock Matt Box and use the small matt box that came with the HVX. Can't use filters but these are flash back scenes so it worked out okay.

Day three of filming; We are now shooting with the Nikon lens - hey what is those little blue rings for? Does anyone knows? It can't be for keeping the flip hook up to the adapters since it keep falling apart which put us wayyyyyy behind our film shoot. That stupid little blue ring only has about two turns before it is tighten. It doesn't hold worth a crap. I think I have invented new cus words while having to keep fixing it. Who ever came up with the idea - HEY lets just have a weak area in this adapter instead of something that will hold everything together like it should be - should be drug tested!!!! and fired from Redrock staff!!!!! What a piece of junk!!!!!

Okay now that my time is almost up on this computer rental I guess I should stop bitching!!! Other wise I think the redrock gear is okay.

uhhhh, if you think you are going to just attach ANY lens adapter to your camera and run and gun you are dreaming. you should have gotten some experience with the redrock rig BEFORE you flew across the world to shoot a feature unprepared. the reflections may be coming from the uv filter on the back of the m2. this is a known issue and you simply remove it to eliminate the problem. you can find all of this info on the redrock forum. i would dive in now and save face while you still have time...

BTW it's "matte box". NOT "matt box" One is a sunshade that holds filters and the other is a cardboard box with some guy named "matt" inside....
