The trailer for my Elvis Documentary is a MySpace Featured Filmmaker

[filmstox]

Hey gang, just got the word that the trailer for my Elvis Documentary is up on myspace as a featured filmmaker. The documentary is 95% HVX footage with a little bit of DVX that was shot before the HVX was introduced. You can see the trailer by clicking on the film section on myspace or by going to this link:

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1122079238

I'll post a higher res version here after our deal with myspace expires.

Let me know what you think and add yourself as a friend for more updates as the film proceeds.

Thanks,

Did you ever find out why your billboards in Memphis disappeared?

[filmstox]

Elvis Presley Enterprises had it removed. I don't know how much I can talk about it but they definately jumped on it quickly. The billboard barely lasted 24 hours!

[chris grieder]

wow you produced american pie?

[filmstox]

Sadly, no I didn't produce American Pie, but Warren Zide did and he is also producing The Truth About Elvis. I am the DP on the doc and I cut the trailer. You can see more about what Warren is up to at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0956015/ My IMDB page is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0807894/

Looks very sweet and really giving the HVX some screen cred! What's your plans for distribution and exhibition?

[Elvis]

Thankyouthankyouverymuch!

We are still almost a year from release and we already have some distributors interested but nothing is finalized as far as I know. We would certainly love a theatrical run and the content warants it. I don't think there will be any descisions until we get further into post. We have enough material for a miniseries though!

Elvis, if that's you, I can arrange to split the $3 million with you!

Actually, I´m Elvis...
Please transfer the money to my bank account.
PM me for details.

[Justyn]

I'm spartacus.... I'm spartacus... Scratch that. I'm ELVIS... or atleast I'm as fat as Elvis.. so that's some comfort.

[darwinandpaine]

I'm Spartacus, and my wife is too.

But seriously, folk... Congrats on the film. It looks really good. I hope it plays in my area. I know it's a long ways away, but keep us up-to-date on distribution and DVD releases.

P.S.: Justyn, that "I'm Spartacus" line is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on these boards --- absolutely brilliant!
