The Talisman

Re: The Talisman

Pretty damn good for 48 hours. The only thing, I didn't really feel afraid of that monster chick. What kinda guns did you use for that? Good costumes etc. Also, where is that shot? Thanks.

Re: The Talisman

Thanks man,
Appreicate the kind words. the guns we used were airsoft weapons and we did the muzzel flashes digitally. the costumes were rented for the weekend from our local Army surplus store for $30.00. A friend came up to do the make-up on a tight budget. We are planning to add some footage to the short and expand it.

Re: The Talisman

Quite nice indeed!

A little more time spent with audio though would make this a lot better..
other than that great work man!

Re: The Talisman

I liked what u guys have done, especially in 48 hours. Some shots don't seem real because of the performance... but shot compositions are good. The guy eating the banana didn't do for me.

Good one, overall.

Re: The Talisman

Two quick notes on an otherwise very cool piece:

Don't use the zoom during a scene. It was jarring to see the zoom adjusted in the middle of a few of the clips.

And watch those audio levels! Some of the screams must've peaked, as you can hear the harsh digital clipping.

Beyond that, nice work for 48 hours! when will you know if your entry is a winner?

Re: The Talisman

i liked it! my shot was when the banshee was slightly peeking around the corner as the camera moved in. great work!
