The Taint (NSFW) **Extremely Graphic**

[mckorn2]

Here's the trailer to my feature film The Taint. It was shot on the HVX with the Brevis Adapter.

Posted new scene from the movie:

[Paul Hudson]

I don't know what is going on. Since the site was revised I can't see anyone's attachments.

[ggrantly]

Maybe there is some quality content or a message that I missed in the trailers. If a trailer is supposed to entice me to come see your flic, you missed the mark with me.

some interesting gore work. but beyond that. i dont really get whats going on?

[polfilmblog]

There may be, just bear with me, something very, very wrong with your mind.

[twerp]

this is awesome!

[maranfilms]

utterly disturbing!!!, but I dug it. Reminds me of grindhouse meets porn meets monte python. lol

[maranfilms]

how did you do the effect where the saw is cutting through the womans head? she's blinking her eyes.

[mckorn2]

It's a mix between compositing using After Effects and practical effects. We used a fake styrofoam head that gets cut in two and then layered footage of her actual head on top of it.

[Chris Adler]

My opinion? People who can't tell a cohesive story resort to this kind of stuff.

[yellowcake]

guess you have never seen schizopolis. My opinion, your wrong.

Your mother must be very proud ....

[Chris Adler]

Did you enter this into Sundance?

[Jesse Brauning]

Disgusting.

The Taint

No, we decided against sending this to Sundance (for somewhat obvious reasons), but we are playing at a couple of festivals very soon:

The Syracuse International Horror, Science-Fiction & Fantasy Film Fest on November 20

The Dark Carnival Film Fest the same weekend in Indiana

and the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival on December 3rd

Check it out if you can.

I don't really see a difference between this and Black Swan...
