The Sopranos

The Sopranos is by far the greatest show I've ever seen. It's such a great show. Well written, acted, directed, shot, etc. It's coming back Sunday. Can't wait. I've heard the first episode is more of a laid back episode, probably the calm before the storm...

Does anyone have predictions on the ending of the series? It CAN'T have a happy ending. Tony has to die. Period. The question is who/how?

Yesterday the NY Post recommended several episodes to watch in preparation for the final season. (Do they know something we don't?)

Anyways, as per their suggestion(s) we watched the episode where Janice killed Richie Aprile and the episode where Tony Blundetto killed Joey Peeps. So on that second note, I predict that Phil is going to try and even the score with Tony Soprano :Drogar-Smoke(DBG): for that incident. (Did the body shop ever get Phil's seat fixed properly?)

The old episodes stand the test of time, still awesome as ever. I'll be watching them for years to come.

Phil is an idea, but I think that its going to be someone you least expect.

been good so far this season. i've really enjoyed it.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really thought tony was gonna kill paulie on the boat. and when paulie saw Big Pussy... it made me think, maybe paulie is a rat....

END SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a year behind.. la la la la la la I cant hear you. PS, the lighting on that show rocks.

Oh yeah. I thought he was done. This show f-ing rocks. Then, you get a little Entourage candy right afterwards. I know Ari - except his name isn't Ari - but it is hilarious to watch this show if you've ever worked in dev.

F-ing dead-*alls-accurate.

well it looks like no one was right about the ending... or maybe we were all right... it hasnt been discussed, what did yous guys think about the ending?

the ending sucked. the creator tried to please everybody by leaving it up in the air unfortunately people wanted some closure being as after 8 years the show was not ever gonna be on again. all the soprano finale episodes are famous for being weaker then the regular episodes.

in an interview david chase said everything that he wanted in the final episode was there hinting at things... ummm, examples please david?

I think that a better ending would have been the episode next to the last; where Tony puts Carmella and the kids in hiding and he and his crew are holed up in a safe house, armed to the teeth, waiting on the end to come.

The final shot of him lying in bed clutching a shotgun was killer.

Would have been a better ending than just abruptly cutting things off IMHO.

But still, it was a good ending to a great series.

Anyone expecting a satisfying conclusion didn't really watch the show that closely. It's not David Chase's style. He always goes for the off center, unexpected and messy. I'm not saying I liked the ending we got, but I was expecting something like it.

exactly. that episode was the best out of the whole season. in fact i would've liked that episode to be the ending rather than what we got, lol.
