Maybe if he HADN'T mentioned it was a $12,000 ring he might have more of a chance getting it back. I feel for the guy, but really the story alone would have been enough to get most people to give it back. Now that they know the value of it..they might not be so inclined to do so.

The Girl being a lil harsh? Well maybe some people will see it as harsh, some may not. Especially if your engaged/dating, kinda thing you DONT want to do is ignore your boyfriend. I don't know. Really feel for the guy though, even if it was a lil stupid. He could have just got a Helium pump..thing took it home. Again, I don't know. If anyone lives in London or ever visited. That guy has a better chance of finding Michael Jackson strip dancing for cash on Canary Wharf. I don't like his odds.

This is precisely the story I would make up if I hadn't bought my long-suffering girlfriend a ring. Okay, maybe not. But... I think it's just as plausible that he never bought her the ring in the first place.
