This is a quick film shot in Lawrence, KS. Its supposed to be a short metaphor representing a dichotomy of shoed vs. shoeless. Anyways, i got in trouble with the police and the railroad company for "criminal trespassing" to get the shots with the train.

hi! I don't get your point. Is progress like a shoeless man against its destiny (the train)? Is that the point? The need of going back to our nature?

To film an abstract short film like this seems, to me, very brave. Oh, and that shot with the train scared the crap out of me. If that was for real, if it wasn't an effect, then you're crazy, man!

By the way, there are some things I haven't liked:

-The over-saturated colors: In my opinion, they're a little over the top. I think you were trying to make the trucks, helicopters and those things look more aggressive but it distracts a little bit. Mainly the fucsia and blue colors. Green and yellow were good.
-At one point you switch from 4:3 to 16:9. Not a good idea at all... The sudden appearance of the black bars is a little distracting.

thanks for the feedback. Yes they did drop the charges, and no there is no special effects. It really is him playing chicken with a train!
