Hiya,
Just wanted to share an ultra quick project that I shot last Wednesday night for the two creative directors at the agency I work at. One of them is leaving after 13 years of working together to return home to Australia so his family can grow up there.
They wanted this as a video to set up the invite to the leaving party and they wanted to have impact. Especially as they've always got on so well.
We shot it in 4 hours [8.00pm to 12.00am] I got home in a taxi an hour later and crashed through the rough edit and capture from Mini-DV tape by 2.30 am.
The next night I refined the edit, added sound effects, and Colour corrected in under two hours.
The finished video is available in highly compressed form on youtube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhzdGrQKSs0
and also in a H.264 quicktime format here:

N.B the quicktime one is missing the end title and the earlier fade out.
I Directed, camera operated and lit on the fly so we had to light more for exposure than for great looks. I still like it - though.
Because of the speed we needed to shoot at I had to stick with the stock lens and forgo using the SGPro. I would have loved more time to craft this and then could have added the 35mm look I wanted. But hey, next time !
Apologies in advance for the lights being in two of the shots...
I'll post some behind the scenes photos later on.
Hope you enjoy !
P.S The two creative directors did all their own stunts. Ouch !
Thanks
Richard M.
