How many takes did you do this in? You make it look so easy! I don't know if I could pull that off. I'd be interested in seeing the behind ths scenes footage.
hey araujofh, it is all in good fun, no harm intended and I am truly under the impression that the movies were made for fun too! I am half tempted to make one similar just for kicks. I truly am entertained but do not mean to be cruel . . . if I did ' sorry guys ' if not . . . more sequels please!!!! It does remind me very much of the clips on the fast show . . . a brilliant British comedy!
The screen grab seems to be posted at 720X480(dv ntsc) instead of 640X480 (square pixel equivalent.) The weird head stretching probably is due to this making the head look a lot fatter. The head is neither perpendicular nor parallel to the frame, so this would stretch it at a weird angle, resulting in a skewed shape.
As for the rest of the movie, I just don't get it.
The dude looks like hes young and trying. My daughters have done a few things here and there and if they knew about these forums then, they probably would have posted it. Who knows what effect it would have had on them if it got some bad responses."The girls room" was one, and when i think about it now, it looks like some dirty old man shot it because they were facinated by going to the bathroom and alot of it was them on the pot talking about it.
Hec, how old are you?
If these are serious posts, then keep working at it because (not to offend any one) its better than sitting there making up excuses on why you havnt done anything. Im sure Matts first pieces were in the same catagory considering the age. When I started Graffiti back in the 80's everyone called me a toy. So I sat there night after night practicing until I far exceded any of them. Dont foget, this is an art. There are no rules or limitations but the ones you set on yourself.
Something tells me this guy knows what he's doing. The "idiot" in the chair in this piece is well lit, well composed and very well thought out colorwise. No one goes from "handheld consumer guy with cute kid" to suddenly knowing how to compose a shot and light a set well that fast.
I'm sure he's having lots of fun reading all of the posts and playing into the mystery surrounding his work.
