the rules

I tried google and didn't come up with much. I'm looking for a good web resource on the rules and guidelines of cinematography. like imaginary line etc.

if you're looking for really basic stuff try www.cyberfilmschool.com i haven't been there in years and am too lazy to check if they're even still up, but i remember them having some kind of online film manuals with all the BASIC info. Fundamentals that is.

I don't know about a website, but this book will have all the info you could want:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0941188108/102-8997455-0864954?v=glance

I've found it extremely useful in a film shoot.

If you can afford it, check out "Hollywood Camerawork". A 6 DVD set that is amazing. You can read a review about it on my "Links" page:

Just scroll down to the books section.
