Let me know what you guys think of the story. I had trouble distancing away from the "music video" vibe that my film takes on. So I'd like to know if you guys think this is more of a short film or an extended music video. Also, I know that my color grading is inconsistent, but it is my own fault. I did not custom white balance with a grey card or anything. It was all run and gun since we were filming in places we shouldn't be. Overall though, it was a great learning experience in putting together the film and music from my friend in only 4 days. I like setting deadlines because if I didn't, the film would never be finished.

Hope you guys enjoy!

It's good.
Not a music video at all. There's a real story here - although a little vague, a little confusing, a little hard to follow. BUT NOT SHALLOW.
And no overly long shots dragging out the time clock, thank you. Although the apartment door shot near the end was maybe a bit too long - we get that's his place and that he's coming home. Trim that one.

Some of the scenes were very clear about what was going on and they obviously show up the story you're telling....the office, the subway, the homes, the music store (although I'm not sure what happened there...was he going to sell his prized guitar but changed his mind?) But some seemed disjointed or random and I didn't get the feeling they were telling me what was happening in the story.

You could probably adjust your edit to be a little more clear about what this story is trying to tell us, but it's a nice base.

BTW - the Chris Bruce you thank at the end isn't by any chance the Chris Bruce that plays for Seal is it?
