"THE RESIDUAL" trailer... Thoughts?

Hey guys just finished a cut of our latest short's trailer. I've learned so much from this site and would like to share my work. I'm interested in critiques and thoughts. All are welcomed. Thanks guys!

Thanks so much for the kind words! The final product will probably run about 10-12 mins. I'm still cutting it now. We're looking to release it early May at the latest.
 
luved it!! luvvved!! very well done. hope the film turns out to be sucessful. looks like a zombie type thing though, as in the played out virus...end of civilization ect. type thing. Anyhoo...luving everything about what i;ve seen.
 
Thank you jambredz, Yea it can certainly come off that way but trust me, my thick and rich caramel message in tucked in that chocolaty virus flick, Plus we're kind of using this short to try to get production funds on the feature which is a much more expanded version (obviously). But thanks again for the kind words...
 
Looked interesting! But maybe a little too commercial 'in your face' ish a bit.

The trailer had a lot of reaction shots, so many in fact that i thought this was more a pschological horror type fracus than say an action/thriller. So the shots and the 'vibe' didn't quite align for me.

The shots and lighting looked pretty though! The 'run' at the end, and rash of gunshots (as they are represented in the trailer) came across as a little cliche!

Obviously ive not seen the short (and i really look forward to doing so) but im speculating this trailer seems more concerned with making it look like 'a reaaaal movie' than telling us why your movie is different :P

I actually think that is a much more important marketing message for indy films - that the former.
