Hi all,

All the best

Site looks great - but it is way too slow and the trailer never starts loading for some reason. I tried watching the "making" QT video, but the size and audio quality is very poor.

But it looks promising, nevertheless :-)

tlorenzo, thank you for your feedback, you are right, i guess that technical adjustments can be done. Will speak to my guy to fix it. Cheers

Some recent screengrabs ( The Red Sense ).

I like the CC work ... great vibe, slightly washed out nice florescent greens ... good framing, etc. Def interested in seeing the full length.

What were your settings for the slo-mo? Did you do that in 60i? 24P? 29.97 timeline?

Oh, and the website and graphics are off the hook...very professional and slick. word.

I totally agreee with Toaster - the images look awesome... Keep us updated on the progress. Seeing cool footage like this is what keeps us all aiming to do even better :-)

hi tim

saw your trailer wow it looks great!

i would however make the trailer explain the synopsis of the film a bit better, i came out of watching it with no idea what the film was about

but congrats on the feature and a great look, i think you must be on cloud 9 right now

trailer worked only a couple of seconds for me, but what i saw looked great :D

what was the budget on this movie, looks very professional

Looks great! so my question is how the hell did you get the images to look like that? I know CC is the key but can you give any tips?

Saw the full trailer... only thing I can say is... UNBELIEVABLE. this is one great work. You've got the complete package here. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the feature...

And like Coffee said... Can you kick us down with some knowledge?

Bravo,

SmithHouse

Tim, very impressive stuff. You are a great artist. Looking forward to watching your film. Did you do all the art editing yourself or did you hire a multimedia company? Which tools (after effects, maya, etc)?

Kevin, thanks for your feedbacks, really appreciated. i am using pal 24p, for slo mo i like to have 1/60 most of the time just in case i need to do one, if i shoot a fast moment scene, i tend to go up higher, also take precaution with lighting. cheers

Young H. Lee, thank you, but this is not an official trailer as yet, its only a teaser, there will be a final trailer out very soon. The film is about a Khmer girl who found her father's killer and trying to solve the problem. i have no clue what cloud 9 is.

Cloud 9 is a drug, its roughly the same shape and size of a tripod.

The film looks ace. I love the percussion in the trailer soundtrack.

Wesley, the trailer should be working fine, you might need to wait to download it abit, better with adsl. This is a low budget film, about $au7000. thanks for the compliments. cheers

I always wanted to create a filmic look before i decide to make this film, i believed film is a story telling format, after a countless research i end up using AE. which i found out it has more freedom for me to manipulate anything i wanted. i have tried magic bullet and other third party plug ins, but AE is stil the one.

Tips: use alot of Mode layers, have solid blue, green, orange and black layers place on top of each other and change the opacity and different mode option. cheers

Smithhouse, i am over the moon, thanks for your feedbacks, i believe that it might take a moment to create film, but it will last forever. I tend to learn from everyone around me, watching films and pay close attention to every single detail from a to z. Try to keep it clean, simple but classy. cheers

LeSeulGiraffe, make sure you have QT6 above, here is the link to DL for apple. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
and for WMV http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology

let me know if you stil can't view it.

George D, thanks on your feedback, as a graphic designer myself i tend to do everything by myself, which is more easy for to take control. its a one man band to me. i use Premiere, After Effect, Photoshop and Coreldraw. Those are great tools to work with.

The music is composed by Robert J Sedky, a brilliant young man, this is his first film also. Cheers

Some more screengrabs from DVX100, 24p at 1/60, standard lense, CC in AE.

Enjoy
