"The Radio Mechanics" clips

Here are 2 mins. of raw, uncorrected clips from our Sci-Fi Short, "The Radio Mechanics". The music has nothing to do with the movie - just threw it in to kill the silence. This is not a trailer.

The QT file is a painfully slow download. Unfortunately, I have no control over that right now. The WMV is much faster.

Those are some nice clips. Lots of nice camera moves that make the scenes more interesting. I also liked the tunnel scene with the change in angle.

I liked what I saw. What did you use to get most of those dolly shots and the one in the beginning with the big guy sleeping?

Very nice camera work and lighting....Looks very impressive, you obviously know what you are doing. Were you the DP on this shoot?

Post some more clips when you are ready...

Beautiful, although i didn't know what the hell it was about, it looked dead sexy, great job, i loved all the smooth movements...

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Drew599: We used a doorway dolly for a lot of stuff, sometimes in combination with a jib. The shot with the big guy in the chair (focus pulls on various planes) was with the jib and a steady hand. The final clip with the yellow pickup was with a pipe dolly and jib - shot out in my driveway.

Disjecta: Yup, I'm the DP, thanks. I've had a few years to practice.

Arcburn: In terms of what the story is about I'll refer you to another thread so as not to get whacked.

We wrap up shooting this week and then we'll get a trailer put together.
