F55: The Presidents Table

Here is a link to a short I just finished about a friend of mine in Chicago who was commissioned to create a table to be given as a gift from President Obama to President Hollande of France during a state visit on Tuesday.

We used the project as a way to test the F55. Shot it using XAVC 4k in a 1080 sequence, Slog 2, Cine EI mode. The color correction is a rough pass in Adobe Premier. We just finished shooting it this morning, and I intend to take a swing at it with Resolve when I have more time.



**I've jumped the gun. To avoid violating the subject's NDA with the State Department, I have to delete the link until after the visit.
Thankfully, I don't think dvxuser.com is atop the NSA's list of websites to watch.

Lovely piece, I wasn't expecting the Australian connection in there! (it's got me feeling all patriotic now :) )
 
Thanks for the comments. I shot this primarily with Zeiss CP.2's and a Zeiss 15.5-45 LWZ. There is a bit of Duclos 11-16 in there as well. Everything was shot 1080 except for the interview which was shot 4k so we should punch in in post. I think I missed the focus a bit however as the punch in looks a tick soft to me.

We shot this on Friday afternoons so there may have been a beer or two involved that compromised the focus on the interview.
