I don't know if there's already a lot of builds for this kind of thing out there, but I built this out a flexible screwdriver, a pill bottle lid, a xylophone mallet, some rubberbands, and a bit of glue.
It works beautifully and will keep my arm from locking up when I shoot those two hour long shows. Pics:
