The Piggy Bank

I entered my first 24 Hour Film Competition this Weekend.

52 teams were assigned the same theme at midnight "Spare Change" and then given 24 hours to write, shoot, edit, and score their film.

First, here is a link to the script I wrote:

I'd love to know what you think,

I really liked the script -- it's shame you have to shoot it so fast because it puts a big burden on the actors.

Even though you set the scene during the day, it feels to me like it should be dark out.

ahah

I liked that! Too bad we couldn't see the falling-down-the-stairs scene, I was curious how you were going to go about doing that.

The lighting was pretty good, and the actors had great voice variance, especially the guy in the glasses.

Excellent work!

That looks good. the script was realy creative and I think there was just a little two much hessitation from the first jab till when he gose after him. but for 24 hr damn

Thanks for all the comments.

Sometimes I think the biggest challenge with shooting in a 24 hour competition is just trying to choose what you have to have and what you can do without.

UHRGL, I agree - it would have been nice to have shot this at night, but the 24 hour constraint made that impossible.

DJQuikFingaz - Unfortunately my hosting provider won't support the whole short, that's why I just put up the one scene (I need a new hosting provider).

dj200423 - The falling down the stairs worked great, we basically had an actor who was committed and willing to slide down a lot of stairs (for multipled takes).

imgentertainment - Thanks a lot, I am really proud of our finished short, but I agree there are lots of little things I would have tweaked if we had the time. Oh well.

We find out on Thursday if we made it into the top 15 and the awards festival.

Chris

The actors did a great job, considering they were learning lines on the fly and had no rehearsal.

As for lighting,
