SYNOPSIS: A group of travelers descends on The Park to witness one last Firefall. They come from different backgrounds and walks of life, but their paths will crash together in hilarious ways, as a film crew document (Mockuments) their crazy antics.
The characters comprised of: Scottish "Free" Climbers, a disgraced outdoor survival television host and his nephew, a former welter-weight bodybuilding champion who's let himself go, a dysfunctional family in denial, Park Rangers, a hiding hippie who has been living in The Park for years, and a Mutant Bear will experience amazing, terrifying and hilarious situations as they discover their true character and values on their way to the final Firefall.

We are currently raising funding and casting. We are attempting to film in July for 3 weeks and have the feature in the can as we continue onward with MAGIC. This is just plain old fun! "The Park" won Excellence in Comedy at the 2010 Action on Film Festival.

A firefall was the old fire waterfall, Yosemite used to have. They would dump burning coals off of a large dome, creating a beautiful waterfall of fire. In real life, this was stopped long ago. For the story of The Park, there will be one final one in the hopes of boosting tourism.

Just finished the entire script. This film will be non-stop laughter! Love the names, Loved the kilt-wearing Scots & loved the girls watching the Scots, Loved Hugo & Dora Armstrong, the Rangers & the romance that evolves, the Birds (that are actually a family of humans), The squirrels flying off the cliff, the French Chefs in tights, Stanford James, and of course my favorite Sid Sapperstein. Can't wait for this awesomeness of humor!

This sounds nuts. When do you shoot?

*Looks like July.

That's very soon.
You casting unknowns and keeping the budget low? Good luck!

This sounds ambitious! You guys are really moving forward with great acceleration in the industry. You had a 'day job' before, has the success of Stricken allowed you to work fulltime on movies and leave the day job behind ?

Thanks! My freelancing has been paying the bills as well as my rolling income from my magic tricks. We will know what Stricken has done for us sometime after May when the numbers come out. We are hoping for big things!

Everyone, every age, everywhere... Even the Moon. :) Ambitious? I think YES!

Seriously, targeted at North American theatrical release and the family friendly demographic that likes slapstick humor and insanity, from children to the nearly dead, this should appeal to all of their senses of humor.

good luck with the film. Hopefully not to many drunk people shouting, airplanes flying over and not to much sirenes passing by :Drogar-Dum(DBG):

Oh yes... We will kill you. You will die screaming, with your horrified voice echoing on the wind...

And then we will laugh...

We shot a lot of our B roll today. We are so excited and happy with the shoot. The weather was perfect for plates, and there was almost no particles in the air to lighten the distant shots. Usually around this time of year, the campfire smoke precludes clear shots, but we hit on a golden day in THE PARK. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Wow Bridalveil looks like it's still slammin'. Need to get back up there before the seasonal waterfalls all disappear.
