43rumors have some other news about the gh3 wifi implementation. I hope it would give functionality like remote follow focus and wireless monitoring. From the doubters, if you look at the gh3 rumor on personalview, you will see one of our well known moderators more or less indirectly confirming some of the rumors. I guess as the news are coming at this rate that we are getting leaks directly from Panasonic.

It is my opinion. I wasn't allowed to express it on here but I can do what the hell I like on my own blog, frankly. Unless you pay to read my articles and spend all that time on the site (which you hate) I don't believe I owe you anything.

Yeah, you don't owe us anything. the same logic applies to the fact that DVXuser did nothing to you...you still pirated their domain.
Canon didn't do anything to you...you still criticized their flagship dslr without substance and with so much bias.
Sony didn't do anything to you...You condemned the EA50 BEFORE IT IS EVEN BLOODY RELEASED... and yet you claim the image will suck... i wonder.
The guys on vimeo didn't do anything to you...you still flamed them down like a squirrel on crack.

I say enough. I guess as Einstein once said, only two things are infinite, the universe and...well, you know the rest.

Your agenda Donald is simply for the fact you don't agree with my opinion on your favourite camera.

Frankly I find the personal nature of your attacks uncalled for. DCloud especially, with his claims of tabloid journalism - as far as I know I haven't printed candid pictures of anyone yet or published bullcrap about celebrities.

I am leaving this forum (again) because of people like you. I don't need to waste time defending myself or being drawn in by the bate - the majority have spoken for me. Once again thanks to those, and to the others - well you continue to ruin a good forum.

Sure. I defend my favourite camera because it isn't even released and i haven't seen any images from it. You call it, smart guy.
Also, I like the 5dmk3, yes, but i'm not blinded by it, like the GH2 has to you, if a better camera comes out, i will go for that. I do not practise mindless fanboy-ism. I may like a brand if it satisfies my needs, and i will chose another brand if i find it releases a new product which i like better. I like Sony... does that mean i buy sony ericsson phones? No. Because they're crap. I like Apple...and yet i own a windows PC... etc
Go on and leave. Don't bother pulling any heartstrings. I couldn't care less.
 
Can we get back to the GH3 now?

Assuming the resolution stays the same, or even improves... Then the addition of better DR, lowlight, 60P and higher bitframes surely makes this a no brainer? 4:2:2, even at 8bit would be heaven.
 
Maybe this thread should be moved to the "speculation forum" because this is not really news, is it? Posts in the Industry News and Information forum should be about products that have been released so intelligent, informed discussion can happen. Whenever speculation comes into the mix the bad stuff appears. If there is not a speculation forum there needs to be one!
 
I do apologise for the debate. Just felt i needed to say that.

Anyway, back to the GH3.
If its comparable to the 5d2 in low light (if possible) and has similar latitude to say, the canon DSLRs, I'm all for it. Oh, and please give us a better screen (and larger). I don't really care for 1080 60. just give decent quality 720 60 and I'm fine.
Is hoping for magnesium alloy abit too much? I don't mind a price bump into the 7d price range. Maybe a separate version in the 7d price range with better video features? pretty please, panny?
 
hummm...the fact that this thread has turned into an attack on it's author instead of information, and that the thread has continued to not be deleted, says that the moderators have an agenda as well. That's really sad....for this forum.

The Author of the thread didn't get attacked. Also I wouldn't be spouting out conspiracy theories or loose speculations about the mods of this site ...who usually try to do a good... job without at least some half decent shred of evidence.

....the subject of the thread got attacked...who's a forum member...and the op tried to redirect...and the obvious proof is in the pudding...so to speak. Usually I'd agree but in this particular case ...not.

Yeah, but this isn't news. It's a rumor. A rumor than then goes on to bash other cameras. Other cameras that nobody has seen proper footage of or even and felt in hand. Andrew would fit right in with the likes of CNN or MSNBC. It's like the gh2 is his favorite politician. So if you kindly debate his writings or catch him on a false statement, he will quickly come in and abuse you on his own site. It's a turn off. All some people were looking for was a conversation on the topic and ANdrew gets testy. Other "gurus" as you call them have class and that is part of what made them successful. Not to mention they are REAL cinematographers that tell STORIES and get hired to do so. Why do they have class? Because they have clients.
Again, Andrew... Reap what you sow. Your site will state a RUMOR and then go on to bash cameras that you don't like, never have seen footage from, and give suggestions as to what YOU would do. While others just give the news, maybe an occasional rumor (more like wishful thinking) and leave it at that.
Lots of people think that if the camera does not resolve 1000 lines then it sucks. I can think of at least 30 shorts shot on cameras that have less than 800 lines that I found wonderful. Mostly because they had a story.

About the Gh3... It will come. It somehow will be better than the Gh2. Until then it's just speculation, a rumor, and wishful thinking. I said it before and I'll say it again. There is a camera for anything, but there is no camera for everything....
 
i live eoshd and dvxuser--though i tend to like bmcuser over dvxuser

is the price range of the gh3 around 1.5k or so since a lot of rumors have it paired with the 12-35x lens

makes it more affordable than the a99 but alast they're not announced lol
 
I hope it is with a lens, because I can't see it being competitive at this price point against the apsc camera, more so if there is a $ 1500 full frame Nikon D600 launched at Photokina. For us filmmakers the extra video might be worth it, but for general photographer it won't and it is a much bigger market than the strictly filmmaker one. Now talking about the D600, it should have the full frame Sony 24 megapixel Sony Sensor in the A99, so could be a full frame look at about half the price of the Sony A99/Nikon D800/ Canon 5d3.

I don't think that's the case at all. I think people feel ripped-off when they pay $3500 for a camera which has "1080P HD" printed on the box, but comes nowhere near 1080P.
