The Ore

Hmm, good question ... I got the impression this was less than 20 minutes ... though a SOLID less than 20 minutes, meaning killer production value & story.

Very impressive stuff. I really like the podcasts too. Looking forward to the finished product in whatever format it shows up in.

So what was the outcome? Did they get their deal? Do we get to see the short? Are they releasing a behind the scenes only DVD instead? Anyone know anything? ... and who did win the 1933 New Hebrides Open??

We've posted some updates, most significantly a ship date! As of this morning, The Ore DVD is in the hands of highly trained replication professionals. They're estimating a two-week production run, so we're comfortable in naming December 15 as our target shipping day. Thanks again for sticking with us, we think you'll be very pleased with this sucker.

Looking forward to it! Glad I stuck with my pre-order! I should be one of the firsts in line! WOOT!

Question on one of the tutorials: Do you guys go over the importaive of placing your yellow ping-pong balls in certain places? I can never figure out why/how that works!

Yep, we go over the difference between 2d and 3d motion tracking, and how to lay out the dots.
