The Olympus E-system thread

Thanks Alveraz. The guy was under one of those event awnings so the high noon sun from above didn't touch him but all the ambient light from the open sides worked well for exposure.

Don't own a boat but if I did I think I'd want this one:)

I was to have the Olympus E-3 two days ago but the winds changed direction and blew the money out of my reach....Damn! Now I have to wait for another month or two. It's more from the old 510 for a bit....Sorry.

Damn, that 70-300 works well for macros!

Sorry about the E-3, but they aren't going away and prices will drop -- hopefully by the time bad weather comes around again you'll be enjoying your new toy.

You're correct, it will always be there. I was just so excited to be getting it and heading out into the rain knowing it wouldn't drown. The 70-300 works real nice for macros for sure. That was my first insect macro using it and yes I'm happy. I would have liked to get his eye more in focus, but you know how long a bee sits still:)

As usual, supremely beautiful images Mino ... just breathtaking. I wish I could figure out what you do differently from me ... your images are so sharp and bright, mine not so much.

Any chance of getting a full res image of the lake shot from post #272 above? I'd love to print and hang that.

Thanks Larry, No problem with the full size lake (actually an inlet) shot. I'll try and get it to you later today... Failing that...real soon:)
