I was just wondering. I had someone answer the ad for me to write a script
for them. We went in 50/50 as executive producers. I wrote the script, by
the third draft he wanted to have a 'friend' fix up the dialogue.
I, uh, got rewritten on a 6 page script, so much so, I got squeezed right out
of a 50/50 production. My bad for trying to be flexible and not using good
business sense. I'll post that third draft unfinished script toward the end of
the month.
I have no idea if the other guy is going to compete or not. I've never shared
with my present partner, Kevin, what was in that final rewrite (nothing of mine).
I respectfully backed out and got picked up by Kevin and we are going in this
50/50, a true collaboration.
That first experience, however, was unbelievable. What a horror for a writer
to be rewritten on a 6 page script!!
