I actually shot this about a week after getting the DVX last spring, but was never able to find a site that I could successfully upload to. Hell, even Stickypod didn't seem to upload, but I checked again and this video seemed to have loaded itself.

Anyway, it's hardly top notch but hopefully at least gets a chuckle. Because of compression and lack of personal knowledge there are some extra dark shots. I was trying to figure out exactly what kind of dark the DVX could do- none.

I lit the front of the house with some hidden flourecent lights taken from above my pool table, and anything else was lit via hazard light. The indoor stuff then got a little nighttime MB filter which would've helped if I had shot with all the lights on. Lesson learned.

So here you are! A couple hours of a shoot described as "completely winging it", a case of Bud Light, and the classic serial killer decoy setup!

Hmmm, maybe I'm dumb, but I don't get it. A guy gets stabbed and then a pillow runs off.

The lighting is very poor but you have a few nice shots.
 
This is very hard to watch for me. Their were only 4 or 5 shots in the whole film that were lit enough to see anything. Better luck next time.
 
I appreciate it. Pillows sleep on humans, instead of the other way around. Funny stuff. although it was dark. It was still pretty neat
 
Dude, you totally did not do any lighting. You really really really need lighting. I didn't even tell that was knife until several seconds after. Even for dark movies they use lighting. It's key man. In post, you can always make it as dark as you want. Shoot with light because u can't get rid of it in post.
 
I had no misconceptions about the lighting- you're all correct. Anyway, that was some time ago, 2004 actually. I've since done quite a bit and have gotten better. Because of this, I haven't shot anything at night again, actually.
