The official "I got my AF100" thread

hopefully B&H ships my af 100 today the status has been changed to "In stock ,Order sent to warehouse " for a few days now. i think im anxious more than anyone considering that this is my first actual video camera , i have been using dslrs ...
 
I just checked my Federal Express tracking info. My camera is now at the Baltimore sorting facility. That's one hour away for me. Probably another day for FedEx.
 
I got an e-mail from Full Compass today saying my camera will be shipping today. I was originally #22, and have now moved up into the top 20 somewhere. Presumably they had some cancellations.

haha, bruce that reminds me back in elementary/highschool, skipping school to sit by a window and wait for bike parts to come. they came almost every time at 4pm. good luck!

At the point that I called, I was allow to broker it myself, however they informed me that because it was expedited the brokerage is free ( when it's flown in ). If it was driven it, then they said that it might be better ( more economical ) for me to do it myself.

but when i called in, the camera had already arrived in lachine and was waiting for customs clearance. It had to clear before i was allowed to go and pick it up, which didn't get done before they closed. So now I wait :(

Fantastic... I always forget that Express (FedEx) and Expedited (UPS) includes brokerage. :)

I am hopeful to get my unit this week too!

It's on 15mm rails and the support is one rod clamp from Berkey system. I got a new one today with adjustable height and this will be great and hold my Olympus 35-100 and Canon 70-200 sturdy without breaking the lens mount.

I've been working with Brian on all his stuff. Just checked out the new support system and I'm excited to see how it is used paired with the af100, lots of options.
