The noise is killing me!

so cardmaverick, by white balancing through the magenta (a lot of it) I will turn my image quite green, but that is okay because of the r g b channels' different level of clipping and noise levels, and green is most the noise-less of the channels. then in post i just color correct the image to bring the right color back in. is this correct, in essence? sorry if i'm being redundant.

thanks so much.

The HVX200 has also an insufficient IR-blocking-filter in front of the chips, so noise (especially redish noise in black parts of the picture) is also possible from IR-light..... This will be most likely the case with studio lights but even from the sunlight...

I'm rather glad it doesn't block IR very much. I was able to use this to get brilliant spooky IR effects in a recent black-and-white movie. Shot through a Cokin-mount Ilford SFX filter (Had to take care over flare!)
Cheers,
Dave
