the new year parade

Looked nice. Did look a little milky on my Mac. But I'm sure its from the gamma thing. The daughter in the trailer is cute.
 
personally i think that was pretty much a finished movie the way it is. i thought it was great, the ending just made everything come together so well. plus becuase of its length, your able to keep the suspense up and keep it scary the whole way though.
 
Rene what film are you talking about? I only ask because the trailer for "The New Year Parade" doesn't look scary at all.
 
I hate to nit-pick on such a fine looking film... everything about it looks GREAT. 100% professional.

The ONLY problem it seems to have is when the one guy saying "Your main goal is to win" turns his head. It seems like the mic was on one side of him, because it's loud and clear when he faces the right side of the screen, but sounds muffled when he turns to the left.

Other than that the video and the audio is FANTASTIC!
 
no way, criticism is great! yeah most of that stuff is real string band footage. so the best i could do was slap a lav on him because they'd be four hour shoots once or twice a week while they practiced. That week i put it too much to one side. i'm more worried because if you listen carefully there is a crackle that comes in from time to time on the wireless. which sucks!
 
yeah they are mostly non actors and are bringing a lot of real life experience to the roles, which is great since i have no money to pay people!
 
The compisitons looked good, but the overall levels looked too hot. The black bars looked too hot also, so it is probaly a problem with how you converted it, not the actual piece.
 
yeah the black levels got all screwy in the conversion. Some of the white's behind the speech were already clipped before though.
 
I Liked it alot. and would love to see the finished thing. I like the concept of dealing with domestic issus and useing a parade to bring it out. very cerative
