Yes so now Sony repackaged the F3 and S LOG COMES STANDARD WITH IT. Yes without any price increase. Silly Sony trying to charge customers with $3800 for their Slog in the begining. I wonder how many potential customers tht was turned off by that and went with the C300 or Scarlet.

For previous owners, Slog upgrade is permantetly $899 and i persumed there is no expiration promo date for it. The power of competition. When companies compete, we as consumers win.

Sounds like a clearance sale. Sony must be announcing something big at NAB. Maybe a QuadHD "F4."

I know it hurts to have spent more on something but every camera i have ever purchased on release has dropped down in price 6 months later when the excitement has worn off and competition sorts itself out because of some newer product release. This is the price you pay for getting in at the beginning. I'm also sure that those that paid top price and got in at the beginning have had a great master class in learning the fine details in using pro cameras that some might consider invaluable. That said its great that the starting price for 3 great pro cameras: scarlet, F3 and c300 are at the same price point. Next year one of the major players will break rank and offer similar specs even cheaper and the others will have to follow. Another consolation you can give upset first purchasers is that this may be a period in time where the rental market might grow as these price drops have made a lot of people cautious to buy anything.
