The Neighbors (short clip from feature film)

Here's a short clip from the black and white section of my new feature film. Basically this is foundational material which sets up characters and story lines within the film. We are still production, but I thought Id share a bit of it here.

Shot on HVX200, but this is the down converted SD version. I will edit the HD version down the line

Thanks for watching

And while you're there, watch the three other clips I posted from the film. Particularly "Shane and the Messenger". I'm particularly proud ofthis one as I was honored to have the great Hollywood character actor, Joe Rigano, lend some if his valuable time to our project

What version of the Hvx are these shot with? I can see alot of noise, however as soon as I see the words 'shot with HVX' I do start looking for it so it may just be me.

The camera placements seem slightly dull but it seems you may have been focusing more on continuity and when to cut to the reversals etc more than the cinematography. A trap we all fall into, however I do like the lighting in some clips and Flashback sequence is done really well.

The actors are good, mostly the older men. I have an obsession with old men...actors that is.

Thanks for the feedback

Im shooting on the HVX200, but again, this is the SD version of my footage.

Yes, in those particular scenes I was deliberately filming everything by the book. Shooting straight and antiseptic. But trust me, there is enough weirdness and experimentation in this film to more than compensate for the "dullness" :) I just haven't posted any of the strangeness from the film as of yet. Those sequences are way too abstract and would make little sense if posted by themselves

The older men were Bob Dorian (former host of American Movie Channel) and Joe Rigano, http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=jor+rigano&x=0&y=0
